Growing up in Southern California I was surrounded by all facets of motorsports activities, intrigued with the sights and sounds--and speeds--of all objects propelled by the internal combustion engine. But I was not born into wealth and soon realized my modest existence wouldn't get me very close to owning any of the serious hardware, so I turned to photography to vicariously sample what I couldn't have for real. I spent the first seven years of my career working for one of Southern California's largest motorsports publishing houses, honing my photographic skills on an unlimited supply of big-boy toys that rolled, floated and flew. In my photography I'm continuously striving to blend three key ingredients into every photo: capturing the most exciting action possible, lots of interaction of colors, and producing a visually stimulating overall scene that just makes you want to be there--and buy the product of course--even if you really can't afford it. |
